| 概要 | While the issue of foreign language anxiety (FLA) and foreign language speaking anxiety (FLSA) has been extensively researched in the context of second and foreign language education, few studies have adequately explored the full psychosomatic implications of such anxiety for foreign language learners from the perspective of the unconscious. This small study is a modest attempt to narrow this perceived gap by employing some of the fundamental notions posited by Jacques Lacan to analyze the type of anxiety evinced by Japanese learners of English as a potential case of “linguistic neurosis”. |
