| 概要 | Non-peer-reviewed article. Based on ethnographic data collected at a low-level secondary school in Jamaica, this paper critically analyses low-level students’ schooling experiences against the backdrop of dominant policies and practices within their schooling. The paper argues that the current constitution of the education system is not inclusive as it does not adequately consider students’ abilities, interests, potential or backgrounds, and ignores the realities of harsh schooling that students must endure. |
