概要 | Myticalins are linear, cationic antimicrobial peptides which reported by Leoni et.al. in 2017. Our group reported that myticalin A6 (3-23)-OH, which consists only of X-Pro-Arg (X=Trp, Tyr, Leu, Ile) repeating sequence, shows the same level of antimicrobial activity as myticalin A6 against Staphylococcus aureus. In this study, we synthesized N-terminal fatty acylated myticalin A6 (3-23)-OH derivatives to investigate the antibacterial activity, cell viability and hemolytic activity. Octanoyl-myticalin A6 (3-23)-OH showed higher antimicrobial activities to S. aureus and E. coli than myticalin A6 (3-23)-OH and myristoyl-myticalin A6 (3-23)-OH. |
