| 概要 | The machilid jumping bristletail Pedetontus diversicornis was first collected in Nagayo (Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan) in 1925, and subsequently described in 1943. No further information on this species was obtained until 1997, when it was once again collected in Koganei (Tokyo Metropolis,Japan). This rediscovery was made 72 years after the initial discovery. The P. diversicornis specimens from Koganei were not infected with Wolbachia at all, suggesting the unisexual status of the population not to be attributable to Wolbachia infections. |
