| 概要 | The embryonic development of the alimentary canal of Panorpa pryeri (Mecoptera : Panorpidae) is described. The stomodaeum is formed as in other insect embryos, and the stomatogastric nerve arises from the stomodaeal roof. The thickened amnion of the caudal end of the embryo participates in the formation of the proctodaeum. Three pairs of the malpighian tubules develop from the anterior end of the proctodaeum, and the duodenal valve differentiates at the time of hatching. The midgut is completed by bipolar formation. The anterior and posterior midgut rudiments appear at the bottoms of the stomodaeum and proctodaeum as soon as they invaginate. The rudiments cover the yolk ventrally and then dorsally. Morphological differentiations of the midgut epithelium occur just before hatching. |
