概要 The prosodic shape of reduplicative morphemes is argued to be the result of general constraints on reduplicant shape. Using the theoretical framework of McCarthy and Prince 1994, I analyze the reduplication patterns seen in two dialects of West Tarangan. Unlike previous solutions, this analysis directly connects the set of reduplicant shapes, and the conditions under which each shape appears, to the phonology of the language.
