概要 In recent years many countries around the world have introduced foreign language education in elementary schools to improve globalization and increase the second language ability of the population. Likewise, Japan will introduce English at elementary schools as a formal subject in 2020. This paper will compare the implementation of foreign language education using data collected from teachers and observations of foreign language classes in primary and secondary schools in the UK, Australia, and Thailand. This data will be used to make recommendations on the best way to implement English education in Japanese schools.
