概要 | In this paper, we propose an effective steganographic method for palette images. The method can embed one or more bits per pixel into a palette image while it is made from the original full-color image with color reduction. Other embedding methods do not modify the palette of the image. We will show that a well-organized palette makes it possible to embed a lot of data into the image with little deterioration in quality. As the results of experiments, if at most one bit is embedded into each pixel, the quality of images made by our method is not inferior to that made by ordinary color reduction without embedding. Moreover, our method can control the amount of data embedded into an image by adjusting the parameters. Thus our method would be useful to embed considerable amount of data into images, if the requirement for the quality of images is not so severe. |
