This paper proposes a method to generate mazes in which secret information is embedded. A maze is constructed with random sequence of walls or paths. Instead of random data, secret information can be used to construct a maze. We can retrieve embedded data from the maze even if it is printed on a leaf of paper, that is, this steganographic method does not necessarily depend on computers. As a medium of steganography, generated mazes should be typical and "naturally" difficult not to be noticed the existence of embedded data. In addition, for practical use, it is preferable that some dozens of bytes are embedded into a maze. This paper shows an embedding method, which can embed about half of the information amount of the maze itself, and the generated maze is relatively difficult to solve. |
