概要 | This study was conducted to investigate the current learning situations in Japanese high schools with respect to autonomous learning. Its goal was to examine the perceptions of Japanese high school teachers of English regarding learner autonomy dimensions. These learner dimensions are responsibility, ability, and activities. Specifically, it sought to find out teachers’ perceptions of their students’ learning responsibilities, their ability to perform the learner autonomy-related activities, and the activities that students do inside and outside the classroom. Results show that Japanese high school teachers of English perceived their students as incapable of being more involved in their own learning. |
