| 概要 | This study examines the relationship between obesity and alcohol consumption among young adults in Yugawara Town, Japan. Using data from a health and dietary education survey, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis of 366 participants aged 19–39 years. Participants were categorized into normal weight (BMI 18.5–24.9) and overweight/obese (BMI ≥25). Logistic regression analysis revealed significant associations between obesity and low frequency of alcohol consumption, high alcohol intake per occasion, poor self-reported health, fast eating speed, and stress-related coping issues. The findings suggest the need for targeted health promotion interventions to address obesity and alcohol-related behaviors. |
