概要	第6章を執筆。担当章のタイトルは次の通り。The Impact of the Global Financial Crisis on the Philippine Economy: Overseas Dependency or Alternative Development? 2008年の世界金融危機がフィリピン経済に及ぼした影響について、国内経済、海外就労労働者に関して、検討した。フィリピン経済は海外就労労働者や在外移民による国内送金、他国や国際金融機関からの援助、海外企業による投資（証券投資を含む）に依存しており、いわゆるリーマンショックが及ぼした影響は大きかった。そうした状況を検証したのち、対外的要素の強いフィリピン経済が内需を拡大し、より自立的な体制を築くにはどうしたらよいか、論じた。
