| 概要 | Many community sports suffer recruitment and retention of volunteer coaches. The present study aimed to find factors that motivate coaches, who are very important for the clubs. An online survey was conducted among coaches who had experience in coaching team sports in community-based junior sport clubs in Japan. The results indicated that those who are confident as a coach tended to feel satisfaction, which increases motivation to keep on. Feeling joy with children’s growth also increases satisfaction, while interference & involvement by players’ parents undermines motivation. Implications are discussed in terms of factors encouraging coaches’ motivation. Thorough this study we hope to facilitate community spots clubs that are good for ordinary children. |
