| 概要 | Community sports clubs can provide children with opportunities for adequate physical exercise.
However, sports clubs often require a high degree of support from the parents of club members. In the present study, the conditions that motivate parents to work for their childrenʼs club teams were explored. We conducted an online survey with mothers who had children participating in communitybased junior sports clubs in Japan （N = 276）. The results indicated that high levels of bench harassment lead to stronger feelings of burden, in addition to the actual task requirements, such as helping the match. This finding suggests the need to develop techniques to decrease bench harassment, which is a type of aggressive behaviors. In addition, mothers of a highly skilled child did not feel a heary burden even when the time irvestment was significantly high, suggesting that they could derive positive rewards from their childrenʼs successes in sports. |
