| 概要 | This study investigated whether happiness, a psychological variable, is associated with experiences of taking entrance examinations at this early age. An online survey was conducted with 450 young Japanese individuals aged 25–39 who went through the examination. Overall, we found that happiness tended to be associated with higher annual income, longer schooling, and higher university level, for men. For women, on the other hand, happiness was unrelated to any of these factors, only to standard of living and life satisfaction, which are applied to men. It was also found that only among women was there an effect on happiness when perceptions about junior high school entrance examination experience were included as an explanatory variable. |
