Toshifumi Kuroda is a Japanese economist and an associate professor of economics at Tokyo Keizai University. He studies empirical industrial organization, political economy, and development economics. He received the 2012 Telecom Social Science Incentive Award, given to outstanding works and research papers that contribute to the further development of information and communications. He is a fellow of Project Center of Graduate School of Economics of Kyoto University from 2011 and economist of Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry from 2021 to 2023. He was educated at Kyoto University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in 2003, a master's degree in 2005, and a Ph.D. in 2009.
